ALBION ARRANGES AN124 CARGO CHARTER FLIGHT
The Albion cargo team recently arranged an urgent AN124 charter to move event equipment from Turkey. The cargo was originally planned to move via sea freight, but due to delays in securing space on a suitable vessel the client required an immediate airlift solution. Due to the very limited handling capabilities at the arrival airport, the decision was made to the load the cargo into 40ft containers from where the AN124’s internal cranes could load and offload the cargo with ease and without the need for any additional handling equipment, such as a main-deck loader, forklifts and external cranes etc. The Albion team carefully oversaw the packing of the 40ft containers at origin, so as to ensure that the containers weights and the centre of gravity remained within the limitations of the AN124’s cranes. This cargo charter flight is yet another demonstration of the Albion Aviation Group’s expertise in handling time critical and outsize charter requests.
