ALBION CHARTERS A300F & B747F TO CENTRAL ASIA
The Albion team recently arranged an A300F & B747F to uplift 114T/473CBM of urgent pharmaceuticals and medical supplies from the UAE to a country in Central Asia. The shipment consisted of a number of different types of vaccines, all of which needed to be maintained at varying temperatures (+15°C to +25°C & +2°C to +8°C). Due to the complexity of the packing list (varying pallet dims and a large number of non-stackable items) careful consideration had to be taken when planning the flights, so as to ensure that all the 114T could be uplifted. This meant that a number of pallets had to be broken down and loaded as loose in order to optimize the capacity in both aircraft. The Albion team placed one of its experienced Flight Managers at the departure airport in the UAE to oversee the cargo handover and pallet build-up process. Both the A300F & B747F flights were executed successfully and on schedule. The Albion Aviation Group regularly provides cargo charter flights for international relief organizations around the world and boasts more than a decade of experience of working in the aid and relief sector.
