ALBION AVIATION CHARTERS B737-800F FOR UGRENT VACCINE SHIPMENT

ENQUIRE NOW

The Albion cargo team recently coordinated a dedicated B737-800F charter flight to transport a critical consignment of vaccines requiring strict temperature control.  The shipment comprised 793 vaccine cartons, totaling 15,800kg and 80CBM, all of which were fully stackable allowing for the efficient utilization of the B737-800F’s 11x main deck positions.  Given the temperature sensitivity of the vaccines, precise cold-chain procedures were implemented.  During flight, the cargo hold was maintained within a controlled range of +2°C to +8°C.  Close coordination with handling partners also ensured that exposure times were minimized and temperature integrity was preserved at all stages.  The B737-800F boasts an impressive range allowing for a non-stop 6hr flight from the departure to the arrival airport.

All cargo was delivered to the departure airport by early morning local time to meet the required delivery schedule.  Although the aircraft experienced a short delay at pushback due to local ATC congestion at the departure airport, the Albion cargo team maintained close flight monitoring and coordination with the airline, ensuring that the slight delay had no impact on the cargo integrity or the overall delivery timeline.

Lewis King (Albion Director) comments: “It was a pleasure to work with AirMaster on this urgent vaccine charter flight. The flight set-up right down to the execution of the flight itself was seamlessly managed by AirMaster and it was evident that they have a lot of experience in transporting temperature sensitive cargo.  We were also impressed by the range of this B737F type which helped to minimize the overall transport time for the vaccines.

Kareem Ezzat (AirMaster Commercial Manager) comments: “AirMaster is proud to have supported Albion on this critical vaccine charter operation. The flight was planned and executed with strict adherence to cold-chain requirements, ensuring temperature integrity throughout all stages of transportation.  As part of our ongoing commitment to humanitarian and essential cargo movements, this operation also reflects AirMaster’s support for vital medical supply chains. We appreciate Albion’s trust in our B737-800F platform and operational expertise, and we look forward to further successful collaborations.

This successful operation further demonstrates Albion Aviation Group’s expertise in executing time-critical, temperature-controlled charter flights, delivering reliable and tailored solutions for complex pharmaceutical air cargo movements worldwide.
