ALBION PERFORMS ANOTHER COVID-19 FIGHTING CARGO CHARTER
The Albion cargo team recently arranged an urgent charter to uplift 550cbm of PPE items to India to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The cargo consisted primarily of face masks and face shields. The aircraft selected for the mission was a Boeing 777 Freighter capable of uplifting up to 550cbm/100T. However, due to volumetric nature of the shipment, a number of skids had to be rebuilt to ensure that all the cargo could be uplifted in the charter flight. Using their longstanding cargo expertise, the Albion cargo team designed a loadplan and worked closely with the client to rebuild the cargo to optimise loadability in the B777F. The flight was a success, operating to schedule and all the cargo (550cbm) was uplifted on the flight.
