ALBION ARRANGES URGENT CHARTER FLIGHT FOR COVID-19 VACCINES

 The Albion cargo team recently arranged two different charter flights to move an urgent consignment of COVID-19 vaccines from the U.S. to Moldova. The charter flights required careful planning as the shipment was not only time sensitive, but was also temperature sensitive and required for the temperature to be maintained between +2 degrees and +8 degree centigrade from the pick-up point in the U.S. to drop off at the final destination in Moldova. The first leg of the charter was operated by a B747F from the U.S. and the second by a much smaller B737F aircraft to Moldova. Particular attention and planning had to be made to ensure a wing to wing transfer was possible from the B747F to B737F. Both charter flights were executed successfully and the COVID-19 vaccines arrived safely in Moldova.
