The Global 5000 is an enhancement on the Global Express, with a shorter fuselage and range, but much more cost effective to run and technologically enhanced, with the benefit of a greater cruise speed. Bombardier have since moved onto producing the 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000, 7500 and 8000, a family of business aircraft each with the clue in their names being slightly larger and offering a greater range as they step up in class. Although the first of this family, the 5000 is still a hugely impress proposition on the private jet charter market, with a sleek interior and spacious cabin capable of intercontinental flights such as London to Los Angeles.
